We wanted to be off property on this visit to Disney World and this property offers the best of both worlds. You are close enough to get transportation quickly to the parks, you get the Extra Magic Hours, but you are not “trapped” inside the Disney World machine… just close, because you are at Disney Springs. We stayed in the “Island” side of the hotel which is separate from the main towers and closest to the pools. Frankly I was not blown away by the room, it definitely looked better in the pictures, but it was clean and ultimately we did not spend much time there as we were at the parks most of the time. The proximity to Disney Springs was AWESOME, basically a short 3-4 minute walk across the access bridge and we were there. Great restaurants and tons of activity, entertainment, and shopping. In the mornings there were shuttles but we ended up taking Uber to the parks to save on wait times and then we would take buses home at night when our schedule was more flexible. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking to get off Disney property, but still get the benefits that on-property hotels get.
